Stop Hating Your Body: 10 things never to say to someone with an eating disorder
1. But you eat!
Of course they do. They have to or they would die, very quickly. It doesn’t matter if you saw your friend eating a chocolate bar two weeks ago, or they eat something at lunch every day: they can still have a serious problem. They might calorie…

Today
I was walking through our materials library and a few of my coworkers stopped me to check out my outfit. I did a little twirl and got a lot of compliments, from my shoes to my lipstick to my shirt to my color choices. I really wasn’t prepared for it, so it was such a sweet thing to hear. We chatted for a moment and appreciated everyone’s outfits and it was really very nice. I walked away with a big smile on my face.
About an hour before that, in the bathroom, we have a long mirror where I was double-checking my outfit. I thought I looked fat, and my choice of tops was a bad one that made me look wide. And why wear color today? I should stick to black. Wearing lipstick maybe makes me stand out too much. And my bangs look stupid, and I look too short to be this big. And all that other crap.
But I wore what I wore today because I felt good about myself this morning. And having someone remind me and compliment me really brightened up my opinion of myself this afternoon. If everyone thinks I look fine, including myself, why let me get me down?

I never set goals for myself.
I always just jump for joy when another pound goes away. Perhaps this isn’t the right way to go.
I’ll set a goal for May.
I will lose 5-6 pounds this month.
That’s 2-3% of my body weight.
Let’s do it!
-5 pounds so far!
In 3 weeks of eating clean (and tracking calories daily - no matter what!) and going to the gym, doing yoga, and playing dodgeball. I’ve also FINALLY taken the plunge and tried squats while holding a bar. It’s tough! My butt was sore all weekend.
I’m proud of my progress so far, and I’m committed to getting where I want to be. Excited to update my stats on here finally! :)
Good luck guys!

I’m two weeks in, keeping a healthier lifestyle and keeping track on a food app every day. Last week, I was down about 2 pounds. This week, I haven’t lost anything. :/
But I’ve been working hard and trying new things and keeping on track. The number will go down eventually, but I already feel stronger and more energetic. I’ll get there!

Avocado spread is the bomb! Trust me.
This is great! I love that it covers everything from exercise to food to behavior. I’ve made most of these swaps, but I need to work on a few of them still. :)
